1. explain the benefits (to you) of being a Power User
2. help you choose the level of power that’s best for you, so you maximize the value you get from it

Benefits of being a Power User:
Earning more
It’s true – Power Users earn a lot more than others, from all their earning activities.
For example, the Basic (lowest level) Power User earns almost exactly twenty (20) times from their photos and blogs – compared to non-Power Users.
And as your Power Level goes up from the Basic level, you earn even more.
How much more can you earn?
Check out the “Earnings Potential” bar for each Power Level to see how much more each level earns:
Basic:
Yellow:
Notice how much the bar grows with each level. That’s how much more earnings potential it has.
As you can see, Yellow’s earning potential is over 4 times greater than Basic’s potential.
Orange:
Orange’s potential is exactly double that of Yellow's.
Green:
Green’s potential is double that of Orange's.
And Blue’s potential is 2.5 times that of Green.
And so on and so forth.
So just look at the Earnings Potential bar to understand how much more potential each Power Level has.
But wait.
Does “potential” mean that you WILL earn EXACTLY double if you move from, say, Yellow to Orange?
No.
I’ll explain.
How much you earn from your, say, blogs or photos – has a lot to do with three (3) other factors:
1. How often you post quality items
2. How many fans you have
3. How many of your fans view you in their Top Stories
Let’s discuss those three factors:
1. How often you post
If you don’t post any new blogs or photos, you won’t earn from your blogs or photos, no matter what your Power Level.
Remember, your Earnings Potential is just that… Potential.
To take advantage of your potential to earn from your, say, photos and blogs, you need to post new quality blogs and photos.
(I am working on a post for you – to help you determine the best strategy to maximize your earnings from your blogs and photos. Stay tuned).
2. How many fans you have
Your earnings very much depend on the quantity of fans.
Why?
Because when you post new blogs or photos, they are distributed to the feed of your fans.
And when your fans view your blogs and photos in their feed, you earn.
So of course having lots of fans matters a whole lot.
By the way, what’s one of the fastest ways to get your account deleted?
Simply send spam emails to everyone – saying “I’m your fan. Become my fan too”.
Every day, hundreds of accounts are deleted because of this activity – without warning - because FanBoxers have a zero tolerance for spammers.
And what’s the best way to get lots of fans?
Become a fan of lots of people.
When you do, they are notified and have the opportunity to fan you back.
And if you treat your fans well -- they’ll treat you well too - by clicking your posts, reposting, liking or commenting on them... which further reinforces you directly into the very top of their Top Stories and also spreads your posts to their fans.
3. How many of your fans view you in their Top Stories 
Remember, most FanBoxers view their homepage feed in “Top Stories” mode.
(Read full details on how “Top Stories” works)
This means that unless you show up in their “Top Stories” – your posts likely won’t be seen by them… in which case you won’t earn from them.
(But don’t worry, as a Power User you'll more likely than not show up in “Top Stories” – especially if you are in the top Power Levels).
More benefits of being a Power User:
A. Front of the line privileges
Power Users will soon begin to gain access to new features before everyone else…
… with highest Power Levels getting to the very front of the line
B. More visas for your friends
As you know, the Sign Up page has been closed to visitors for over one month now...
... and quite possibly will stay that way permanently.
However, Power Users will soon get visas – so they can invite their friends to FanBox
… with the highest Power Levels getting the most visas
So, which Power Level is right for you?
Let's say you want to earn a lot from your photos or blog posts.
But you only have 25 fans.
Purchasing a Green Power Level is NOT be the best investment for you – as the bigger limitation to your earnings is your fan count – NOT your Power level.
Does this make sense?
As your fan count goes up, the higher Power Levels make more and more sense.
But if you just joined FanBox and your fan count is very low – if I were you I would focusing on increasing your fan count first, before investing in the higher Power Levels.
So, if your fan count is low, should you become a Power User at all -- even a Basic Power User?
Absolutely – because being a Power User increases your ability to get more fans – faster and more easily.
What?
How do Power Users get more fans faster and more easily?
Here's how:
One of the best ways to get fans, is to post quality items often.
When your current fans like your posts, they’ll spread them to their fans – which introduces you to more and more people – many of which become your fans.
But you reach much more of your own fans, if you’re a Power User – because you’ll appear in their Top Stories.
(If you don't appear in their Top Stories, your fans likely won't see your posts, and so they won't repost, like or comment on them).
So being a Power User makes a significant difference in how fast and easily you gain fans.
So, again, how can you figure out what the best Power Level is for YOU and your current level?
The best way for you to figure this out is through experimentation. Let me show you:
For each of the Power User levels, you’ll notice an approximate “cost per day” amount: 
To find the optimal spot for you, here’s an experiment you might try:
1. Become a Power User at a level that’s comfortable for you – meaning that it seems inexpensive.
Notice the “cost per day” for that level.
2. Next, post three (3) new high quality photos in the morning… then post another three (3) new high quality photos about four to six hours later.
(If you get a chance, post another photo or two just a few hours later again).
Wait a day or two for the earnings report to come out for the day that you posted.
(Sometimes your earnings will show up in two different days -- some in one day and some in the next -- in which case you’ll want to add the earnings from those two days to total up your final earnings)
Question: How much did you earn from those photos?
Did you earn:
A. Less than 10% of your daily cost of being a Power User at that level
B. Between 10% and 33% of your daily cost of being a Power User at that level
C. Between 33% and 66% of your daily cost of being a Power User at that level
D. Over 66% of your daily cost of being a Power User at that level
Based on your answer (A, B, C or D):
A. You should consider NOT renewing your Power User subscription at that level when it runs out… IE: If I were you, I would go to a lower Power Level and focus on building your fan base instead
B. This could be a good level for you. Remember, you’re not a Power User to only make a short-term profit for the day... you’re also using your Power Level to build your LONG-TERM earnings by building your fan base…
… so if you’re making nearly a third of your daily cost back, you’re in a sweet spot where you’re balancing between your short term earnings and your long-term earnings by building your fan base.
(As we discussed above, the higher your Power User level, the more people’s Top Stories you appear in, which helps generate more fans when your current fans repost, like or comment on your posts).
C. You're doing very well – and should consider going to the next Power User level -- because you’re building your long-term earnings and fan base while also generating excellent short-term earnings too.
D. If you earned nearly all of your daily cost back, then I would most definitely go to the next level (or even higher) as you’ll likely earn even more as soon as you go to the next level (for the same level of activities). IE: You could be missing out on lots of short-term earnings (along with long-term earnings) -- in essence "leaving money on the table" by being at too low a Power Level.
And that's how I would find my initial Power Level.
Finally, periodically -- about once a month -- as your fan count grows, consider increasing your power by one level.
Of course this is just my own approach and what I would do…
… but your own approach will differ based on how comfortable you are investing in your business...
... and how much you’re looking to build a long-term sustainable revenue stream or are just having fun.
And if you like being front of line for new products...
... or want to help your friends and family join FanBox and earn, and benefit from what you’ve learned...
... then those things may also weigh in on your decision as to which Power User level to arrive at.

2 New Products: “Top Stories” and “Hide”
In the coming days, I’ll be announcing a series of new product features, which as you will soon see, have been designed and developed to closely work together.
The objective of almost all these new features is to:
1. help you earn more
2. help you achieve more with less time
3. help you be more efficient
4. make your overall FanBox experience more fun
Two (2) new product features that I’ll talk about in this post, are “Top Stories” and “Hide”.
First, let’s discuss “Top Stories”.
In your homepage feed, you’ll notice a new control titled “Sort”:
Click it to reveal two (2) choices: “Top Stories” and “Most Recent”:
One purpose of this software feature is to deliver better time management to you.
Think of it as a highly intelligent robot, that’s under your control and has one major objective:
Help you use your time as effectively as possible, so that you maximize what you want out of FanBox…
…earnings, valuable relationships, and enjoyment…
… while spending as little time as absolutely needed….
… so you have more time to spend on the other things in your life (outside of FanBox) that you value most…
… such as family, friends, rest and relaxation, along with your other passions and opportunities.
How it works at a high level
This product analyzes how you use FanBox, and learns from the choices you make.
It takes advantage of thousand of decisions that you make over an extended period of time, to learn who and what you care about the most.
As it learns, it puts that knowledge to use...
... by showing you more stories from the people you care about the most…
… and less stories from the people you, well, don’t care as much to hear from.
LOOK: FanBox wants to continue to earn your trust…
… by being different from other sites and communities that want you to spend as much time on their site as possible.
FanBox wants you to spend less time on the Web – by using technology to enable you to get the results you seek with less of your time….
… so you have more time for the many other things that should and do matter to you.
After all, what is the value of earnings, if you lose touch with the real reasons that you wish to earn more?
(No one wants money just to have money…. They want it for the things that it can bring them, such as more time and comfort with loved ones; more safety, security and peace of mind, etc).
This technology also helps you earn more, by highlighting the people and stories that are most likely to help you build your fan base and grow your earnings.
(This is an important topic – the depth of which will become more apparent as you read the next 5 or 6 "new product announcement" posts that I am preparing for you).
Let's take a deeper look at how “Top Stories” works, and how you can control it:
When you read your homepage feed in “Top Stories” mode, the FanBox system is working for you – bringing you more of the things you want, and less of the things you don’t want.
On the other hand, when you view your homepage in “Most Recent” mode, you’re asking for everything – with no filtering or intelligence applied for you.
Of course you’ll want to read your homepage feed in “Top Stories” mode. But how does the technology decide what becomes "Top"...
... and what are some of the ways you can control it?
For starters, each time you visit someone’s profile, send them an email, read their blog, or click on their photos – of course you are teaching the system that you are more interested in that person.
And because you are interested in them, their activities will be more likely to show up in your Top Stories.
The system looks at over 100 different actions and patterns to decide what and who matters to you.
But what if you’re looking at someone’s stories in your feed, and wish they were no longer in your Top Stories? What can you do?
Well, the easiest way to ensure someone's stories no longer show up in your homepage feed – is to stop being their friend or fan.
But what if you don’t want to stop being their friend or fan?
That’s where the “Hide” feature enters the picture.
“Hide” is a new function that appears at the bottom of most feed stories:
By clicking “Hide” on a story from someone, you are instructing the FanBox system to quietly remove stories from them in your Top Stories for now…
I say “quietly” because this happens without their knowledge that you took that action.
They will never know that you are hiding them in your feed.
I say “for now” because you are still a friend or fan of theirs…
… and so, in the future, if the system learns that you are becoming more interested in them again, it might start bringing their activities to your Top Stories again.
EXAMPLE:
Check out my homepage feed:
As you can see, I have stories there from Lana, Dawn, Gloria and Love Timeless.
Notice that there are 3 stories from Gloria. (In the image, I’ve inserted 3 orange arrows pointing to her stories).
Now let’s say that I wish to hide Gloria's stories.
If I press the “Hide” link (near the bottom of any of those stories – I have circled one of them in orange)…
… here’s what happens:
Notice that all the stories from Gloria are gone! (Those stories previously appeared where the orange arrow is).
From this point forward, stories from Gloria will no longer appear in my Top Stories feed.
However, they will still appear in my “Most Recent” feed, because I am still a fan of Gloria.
OK, wait.
My life will not be complete if I am not receiving my stories from Gloria, so I need to undo what I did above!
I need to teach the FanBox system that I DO indeed value stories from Gloria as “Top Stories”!
Here’s what I’m going to do:
I will simply find Gloria’s profile…
… from any of a dozen sources, such as the Leaderboard, or an email that I sent or received from her, or a comment she left in one of my favorite blog posts or photos, or a comment she left in a friend’s profile, or from my list of friends or fans….
…. and I will click her photo or name, to visit her profile.
Now, upon returning to my homepage feed, and refreshing it, I can see that she is back in my Top Stories!
The FanBox system quickly learned that I’m still interested in Gloria (as everyone that knows her is, I am sure)! ;)

Helping your friends and fans earn more
When you Like or comment on a friend's or fan's post, you're distributing their post to all YOUR friend and fans -- helping them earn more!
This is an important aspect of success... helping others succeed, so they are more motivated to help you succeed.
Anyone and everyone that has ever succeeded big, will tell you that to succeed, you need to have a mindset of helping others.
Those that learn to help others, create reciprocity in their friends and fans -- and benefit from the multiplying "power of the network".
Pop Quiz
In the following story – if I press “Hide” – who will I be hiding from my Top Stories – Riss (who commented on the photo)... or Tivadar (who uploaded the photo)?
Answer:
Riss.
Why?
Because it was Riss that distributed the story that I am hiding.
Remember, when you Like something or comment on it, you are distributing it to your friends and fans.
If they don’t appreciate what YOU distributed, they might press “Hide” – hiding all YOUR future posts from their feed.
As you can see, the optimal strategy for staying in the Top Stories of your friends and fans, will involve THINKING….
… to ensure the things you post, Like or comment on, are of high quality….
… and avoiding posting items (blogs posts, photos, etc.) that are of low value or quality.
The earnings game in FanBox is changing, as you will soon conclude if you have not already…
… and the lion’s share of earnings will now go to people that are intelligent and focused around how they use their key assets...
(especially their brains and ability to distinquish between low quality and high quality)
... to accomplish their objectives.
In the coming days, Quality is about to become much, much more important….
…and those folks that can't distinquish between low and high value content (blog posts, photos, videos, etc) before uploading, posting, liking or commenting will not do nearly as well as those that can.
So what is the optimal strategy for staying in the Top Stories of your friends and fans?
We’ll dive into that soon in a new post I am working on for you.
For now, the best thing you can do is remember to NOT upload photos, post blog posts (or like or comment on items) that are of low quality.
(See someone that is uploading photo after photo that they have obviously found via Google images and are nothing special?
Use your power to HIDE them, as they are attempting to maximize their share of the earnings pool -- which takes earnings away from everyone else -- without providing much of value in return).
So should you upload something really good that you found on Google images or elsewhere on the Web?
Absolutely! If your friends and fans feel that what you have uploaded or shared is REALLY GOOD...
... because it uniquely entertained, informed or educated them, they will appreciate it and you...
... which means they will NOT hide you...
... PLUS...
... they just might also LIKE or COMMENT on your unique, high quality post -- spreading it even further -- which not only helps you earn more instantly...
... but also earns you more friends and fans -- who will keep receiving your new posts -- earning you more permanently... in the long term.
(Remember, when your readers share your posts using their comments or Likes, many of THEIR readers are not yet your friends and fans...
.... so the GREAT stuff you post makes them want to become your friends or fans).
Summary:
HIGH QUALITY UNIQUE content = definitely DO upload or share (because you'll earn more now; and earn more later with more friends and fans)
LOW QUALITY or NON-UNIQUE = definitely DO NOT upload or share (because you'll "effectively" lose the fans and friends you currently have, as they tune you out of their feed using the "Hide" function).
(In fact, if this low quality or non-unique post came from someone else, protect the earnings pool and HIDE them).

No new FanBox members... for now
FanBox is -- for now -- a closed community...
... allowing no more new sign-ups and members.
I am hearing frustration from some members - who were busy telling their friends about FanBox and are having a tough time with this decision.
Let's discuss why we're we doing this
To accomplish our mission, the community, success coaches and employees need an opportunity to continue to improve...
1. our service to each other
2. our products
3. our democracy
4. our earnings
... before having the added burden of serving new members.
As you know, the community is working to get our Constitution drafted...
... and I mentioned that new earning capabilities will be coming our way soon -- so that members can earn a lot more....
... including the ability to earn with our photos, which was announced yesterday.
Towards #1, above, you may have noticed the "April customer service" bar at the top of the site:
The purpose of this bar is to get your input into how the community is serving you -- as a customer.
It will pop up for you each month going forward.
The results of this survey will be shared with the community, so we can all understand how we're doing...
... and if we're getting better (or worse) at serving each other.
As soon as you answer (by clicking 10, 9, 8.... or any number down to 0), the bar will open, like this:
You can then specify what you like -- and what you don't like -- about FanBox.
When will the doors open to new members again?
The doors will be opened when, together, we feel that we have made significant improvement in those four (4) items, above.
Let's make sure that almost all of us are getting served correctly as customers of this community...
... that our earnings are on the rise...
... and that our democratic foundation is further solidified...
... before we bring on new members.
And when it's time to open up to new memberships again, we'll likely need to place some limits on our growth - to protect the standard of living of current members.
We should start thinking about some sort of an invitation system, to control the number of new members allowed into the community each week, month and year.
How should we limit and distribute invitations?
How should it work, and which community members should get the most invitations?
Payza now tightly integrated
Hello FanBoxers,
Payza -- a billing system -- has now been tightly integrated into FanBox:
This means that your Payza top-ups, purchases and payments will now be instantly & automatically processed...
... so you will no longer have to wait a few days for that to happen.
So, which payment system should you use on FanBox?
1. If you're able to, I would definitely use your credit card. This has proven to offer the least headaches for members, thus far.
2. If you do not have a credit card, PayPal appears to be more dependable than Payza - although PayPal has many issues that appear to only be getting worse.
3. But if you have neither, Payza is now available to use.
4. And lastly, if all you have is cash, you can definitely use Western Union or Moneygram from your part of the world.
A note from the engineers: "Payza's technology and customer service do not appear to be very dependable".
But we know that many members do not have credit cards or PayPal, so to serve those members, Payza is now tightly integrated.
Earn with your photos
Up to now, your publishing earnings have been limited to your blog postings.
But if a picture tells a thousand words, why not let us earn with our photos?
Now, you can earn with your photos.
Here’s how it works:
1. Take your digital camera with you everywhere you go. When you see something that’s worthy of sharing with your friends and fans, snap it!
2. Then, when you’re in front of your computer, upload your photos to FanBox, and they will be shown to your friend and fans when they visit their homepage feeds.
3. When people view your photos in their homepage feeds, you earn.
Question: Do my friends and fans have to click my photos, for me to earn?
Answer: No! When they simply view your photos in their homepage feed, you earn. It really is that simple.
Question: So every time I view someone else’s photos, in my homepage feed, they earn?
Answer: Yes!
Question: What if someone is sharing useless or low-value photos that are clearly not worthy of earnings, because they are taking earnings away from the community earnings pool?
Answer: Good question!
This is where we need your assistance. Here's what you need to do:
Remove them as a friend or fan.
By doing that:
1. you won’t be viewing their photos in your feed again – ensuring that they won’t be earning from your viewership again, and
2. you are doing your part to ensure that they won’t be taking earnings away from others
FanBox’s approach to paying for photos, boils down to empowering the community to reward and punish publishers for their actions...
... by granting or restricting access to their homepage feed – simply by allowing someone to be your friend or fan – or not allowing them that privilege.
Does this make sense?
This experiment will only work if you, I and other FanBoxers agree to act as the decision makers of what has value...
... and what is simply an attempt to earn by sharing low value junk – and therefore not actually deserving the earnings.
So, what has high value, and what has low value?
It is important that you be the judge of that.
In my opinion, all photos that look like they were simply lifted from Google images or elsewhere, are low value. If I were looking for a random photo of a mountain or lake, I would simply visit Google images and search for it there.
Did you take the photo? Then I would give that higher marks.
Is it a photo of a unique event that truly meant something to you? That’s good!
Is it a photo that you truly thought would have value to me? That’s good too!
Is it a random photo that I could have found anywhere? Well, I am not going to allow you to earn like that – and I am removing you as a fan or friend.
Commenting and Liking
When you comment on a photo, or click “Like”, the photo is then distributed to your own friends and fans – and the photo makes even more money for the publisher.
So, definitely do NOT comment on it (or Like it) if you do not want it to earn more.
Helping out friends
When a friend or fan that you care about, publishes their photos, should you help them out and Like it (or comment on it) to help them out?
You can do that! But remember:
When you do that, it will be distributed to YOUR friends and fans. If they find that photo to be low value to them, guess who they will remove as their friend or fan…. YOU!
So I were you, I would always THINK before distributing my own, or other people’s photos, to my friends and fans – because each time I do, I risk losing friends or fans who might find that photo to be low value.
Just think: Is this a photo that my friends and fans will likely find to have high value?
If the answer is NOT a big YES then don’t Like it or comment on it.
If the answer is YES, then sure - Like it or comment on it. Your friends and fans might enjoy it and appreciate you even more.
Strategy:
Your ability to earn from photos very much depends on:
1. the quality of your photos
2. how often you publish
3. how many good friends and fans you have – that will value your photos
Why?
1. Every time you send out low value photos, you lose friends and fans. So always ensure the photos you share have high value
2. Each time you publish new photos, you earn. If you never publish photos, you won’t earn from photos, obviously
3. The more friends and fans you have, the more people your photos will be presented to, obviously
How do I get more fans?
First, let me tell you what NOT to do:
Do NOT send emails to other users, saying “I just became a fan. Please fan me back”.
Every day, hundreds of accounts are removed -- without warning -- because their owners spammed other users. If you don’t believe me, try that and find out for yourself.
Do NOT send unwanted emails to other FanBoxers:
If you do that, they press “Report Spam” and your account is then reviewed, and if it is determined that you are spamming other users, your account is deleted instantly…
… or, worse - much worse - it is quietly marked for deletion – meaning that the system will remove it in a few days, weeks or even a few months – to ensure maximum pain is created for the spammer.
IE: Just when you think you are feeling the most confident that you have been succeeding with your illegal activity, everything is all-of-a-sudden gone:
You wasted a good part of your life in your attempts to steal from other FanBoxers.
Sorry. Go back to Facebook.
What should you do when someone sends unwanted emails to you?
Simply press “Report Spam” at the top of the email:
No one will know that you did that, except for the FanBox Spam Prevention team.
Well, then, how do I legitimately get more fans?
Use your brain!
By that I mean: What do you do in real life when you want more friends or fans?
You simply become a friend or fan of others!
(You don’t break into their homes and yell “I’m your fan! Fan me back!”. If you do that, the police will show up and arrest you).
Just become a friend or fan of others – and the system will gently notify them of your kind desire to be their friend or fan.
They will also be automatically presented (by the system) with the opportunity to fan or friend you back.
It’s as simple as that.
Be gentle, kind and thoughtful, and people will want to be your friend.
Or, be pushy or obnoxious, and who would want to be your friend or fan?
The only thing they will want to do is report you, in the hopes that you are removed from the community as soon as possible.
Clearly, the game here belongs to those people that are best at creating a true fan base of people that like them.
How do you make people like you?
Take a genuine interest in them.
We all like to be liked.
So show a genuine interest in them, and they’ll do the same.
When will the first photo earnings appear in my FanBox balance?
Within the next 3 days or so. Just pay close attention to people’s earning stories, and you will see that type of earning ramping up.
FanBox ‘s photo album needs to be overhauled. Can we have a new photo album?
Yes!
It has already been developed, and is being integrated into your account right now.
Your current photos are being converted and saved into the new album.
You will have access to it in less than 2 weeks from today.
But I want it to be like Facebook’s photo album.
OK, you got it!
It will be identical to Facebook’s photo album – with the one exception being, of course, that you earn from your photos on FanBox.
I want to be able to take photos from my mobile phone, and have them instantly uploaded to my feed.
You got it! The FanBox engineers are building you a mobile app to do just that!
With the new app that is on the way, each time you snap a photo, it can be automatically uploaded and published to your friends and fans.
Is it an iPhone app, or an Android app?
First, the iPhone app will be released (in about 2-3 weeks from today)…
… and then, about 3 weeks later, the Android app will be released.
This means a lot more earnings for FanBoxers! Where will these earnings come from?
Effective immediately, new memberships to FanBox have been discontinued, so that we can take better care of the current FanBox members.
When people press “Sign up”, this is the message they now see:
When will I be able to invite my friends?
I am not sure.
As you know, FanBox is dead-set on ensuring that the income level of its members is going higher and higher – a precursor for any young democracy to succeed.
(Pop quiz: How much should each citizen be earning, on average, before a democracy takes hold and succeeds? Read the answer here)
When new members are allowed again, it will likely be in some very limited capacity – such as on an invitation-only basis – with the ability to send invitations provided mostly (or perhaps only) to Power Users.
Can everyone earn with photos?
People that are 100% profile complete can earn from their photos.
What if they are not 100% profile complete, but are current on their IPL processing fees?
Yes, they will be able to earn

Yes, almost all of it.
By becoming a Power User, your earnings from photos will go up 10, 20 or even as much as 100 times.
Just pay close attention to who is earning a lot from their photos, and you will see that they are all Power Users.
